 "Gold Rush" vs. Land Rush
While I was checing out the Easy Rider Rodeo in Chillicothe, OH, I noticed that the regular ticket prices including Camping was $75 for Wednesday through Sunday. They also had an option for thier "Gold Rush" Package for a dedicated lot with full hookups right on the main strip for $399.00. While I think this is pricey and is probably because of the Full camper (power, water, sewer, etc) hookups and the Wednesday entry, the idea is interesting for the Vous. So my thought is that the Potters and Vous staff could mark out some dedicated lots on Tit Alley, etc. for NON-Campers basically bikers with tents or smaller pickup chase vehicles, allow you to pay an extra fee ($200?) and come in on Wednesday Night. The site fee could be reasonably be split by the 8 people or so who could stay on the site. http://www.easyridersevents.com/goldrush/

while I think all idea's should be considered im not sure about how this could be policed say a bunch of people get together and take up spot after spot after spot on titty alley then the unfortunate ones that camp there all the time that cant afford the extra $200 wouldn't have a chance im not in favor of more charges at the vous i think it would open up a way to start charging extra for things we dont pay for now or charge more for what we do pay for. just my 2cents.

Re: "Gold Rush" vs. Land Rush
Staff won't come a day early to take care of campers, and you'd need a full staff.
I can't see rewarding the monstrosities by letting them in first to get the best spots.
The camper fee was started to discourage them. When it was raised they wanted hookups for the higher fee. I say keep raising it, especially since they bring their own food and beer and take away from what tenters spend on vendors.
I could go on, but you were kidding, weren't you?

You obviously missed the Point I was trying to make about allowing Bikers the opportunity to have the perfered sites at the Vous and NOT the Campers. Just because they let Campers have advanced spots at Chilli doesn't mean I want that at the Vous. My point is that the Vous is a major vacation event for many people who have been coming back for many years and they would likely pay a little more to esnure that had the same camping spot every year. You don't even have to open a day early. Just open another gate on Thursday for the Pass holders to set up thier campsite. Believe me, none of the Pass holders would want to be making any drama or breaking rules.. hell, they were willing to pay extra to go the Vous and support it. Still trying to make suggestions that people can review and discuss and hopefully continue to improve the Vous.

I can't see adding passes to a dedicated spot to the mix flying either. It's a clusterfuck now, so if anything, it would require even more staff to sort who has a pass and who doesn't, and then escort them to their reserved spot. Handicapped passes are also required in advance, but do you think everyone who needs one buys one? Not everyone is on the net, and some just don't read the rules. Just no way to plan around an unknown number who shows up. It would need a full staff with anyone on the grounds to man all checkpoints, firstaid, etc, etc, etc. But keep the ideas flowing.
