The forum was temporarily shut down by the ISP because, well, I'll copy and paste the reason:

"This is to inform you that we have suspended CGI for this account, as we found that, thousands of mails are being sent at a time from this account. Please make sure your mail clearly defines opt-in/out policy and mass mailing policy/objective clearly. Also verify the process by which you add email addresses into your list and process to remove the address from the list. Once you are done, we will allow mail for this account."


We were hacked, and 1,000's of emails were sent through the forum. I disabled email sending, sorry, but not chancing it again. PM for now, and you can set PM to have it send you an email saying you have a PM.

All passwords have been changed as well ... mine, not yours.

I'm sorry it took so long, but when I called they said ten minutes tops to reload from backup. They neglected to tell me it would take them five hours to find that ten minutes.

Everything has been restored to how it was yesterday morning, with the exception of my now disabling email capability. It couldn't be restored to how it was at the time of suspension because the suspension was part of the last backup.... long boring story. We lost a day, so post more to make it up!

Bunch of sick bastards out there, and one found us. I hope this keeps us up and running smoothly now for years to come.

I develop sites for a living and deal with this type of non-sense all the time. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help. Anything for the Vous. I'm heading out today, Wednesday. I'm usually by exit road, near the top. Group of about 20 from NH.
